Ah, yes thats what has happened. Many thanks ^

I want to throw another vote on the pile for Personal Assistant from PageOnce. Only weird thing it's doing right now is duplicating my Avis reservations. I think it is showing once for the time I'm supposed to get the car and once for dropoff. That said, it's showing pickup and dropoff time inside each of those records. Very strange...

My husband has PageOnce. He is quite found of it too. Personally, I'm currently enjoying my little iPhone Scanner application, and a few games.

There are several apps with the word Scanner in them. Which one specifically?

And which games do you like?

Thanks.

The new MapQuest 4 Mobile app is pretty slick for getting directions. It could be polished off a little bit more though the price is right (free) and gives Google maps, especially when it comes to the look/style of receiving directions on the iPhone a run for its money.

I am in the 150s on the first two maps and 115 on the aircraft carrier. Still a blast to play. There is a screen shot of the iPad version floating around on the internet, it has 2 airports on the screen basically. It looks awesome.

365 Royal Flying Doctor Service
333 Default map
283 Island map
227 Aircraft Carrier

I got frustrated with not being able to break my high score on the Island map, though, and haven't played in a while, which is probably a good thing ;)

To me the Island map is by far the best - very challenging very quickly (once you hit 70) but it is possible to regularly get to the high 200s and sometimes to 300 and beyond. My high score tends to increase by a handful or 10 at the most.

You need to refine strategy as you progress which is the key to improvement - my latest is to take the bottom right helicopter on a slight curve to the upper helipad which really helps. More than the other maps you really need to get the big aircraft landed asap.

The default and flying doctor map frustrate me as they seem to be more about concentration.

The aircraft carrier has me completely beaten - I can't suss it at all!!!

Looking forward to the iPad version....

Check out the new iPad app of this game with improved graphics and the ability to view the fields and aircraft in 3D.

Plane Finder addiction

Plane Finder provides real time "virtual radar" mapping, illustrating aircraft in the sky with details such as altitude, speed, plane type etc.

At 00:53 who would have guessed the number of aircraft in flight over the UK - mostly FedEx, DHL, LoCos and charters, mind. :)

Wow. Interesting. ^

They had Flight Control HD on the demo units today at Best Buy so I gave it a shot. It is very cool. Much larger map, you can get way more planes on the screen at one time, and because there are now more runways you can also get more types of aircraft. Some other cool features include the ability to trace a route part of the way then continue later on from the point you left off. Helps when you are trying to map a bunch of planes at once. They also have a feature that will keep things in fastforward mode until you are about to crash then it slows down a bit. A must-have if you get an iPad.

Have had some time to play around with this. Amazing! ^

Often I have seen a flight and wondered where that would be flying too.

Is there a Frequent Flyer/Hotel Stay tracker ap?

Interesting, this is the only post that came up when I searched "frequent flyer" and I would have thought more folks around here would have wanted an ap that let them keep tabs on their FF accounts, and pending mileage/points postings in airline and hotel programs. Since this post is two years old, is there a newer ap that tracks just these accounts? Surely among the 100K aps promoted there must be one dedicated FF/FH account tracker!

I've not migrated to an iPone or iPod Touch, but have an iPad waiting for me at my next US hotel this week. Seems this would be a required ap and work quite well on the iPad given the larger screen. Otherwise guess I will have to convert my current Excel version into Apples spread sheet format for the iPad.
