I would do it happily if:
1) The cost of Apple software was more reasonable in Israel,
2) My machine was more powerful. I have a G4 1.25GHz PowerBook and I'm a bit hesitant to upgrade when the minimum tech spec is G4 ~850GHz.

I am (big suprise, right?)
Going to the "launch party" (aka nerd fest) at the store at 6....
I was thinking today, do we need a Leopard thread here? Is this now it?

I have it on my computer (got it delivered this morning from Apple.com). Overall, I think it's a modest improvement. I haven't gotten a chance to fully explore it yet, and I need to go out and buy an external harddrive to test Time Machine. I think Time Machine has the potential to be BY FAR the best part of this upgrade, if it truly works as advertised. I don't really like the new dock/menu bar, and I feel they put in too much drop shadow. A bit too dramatic, for me...looks a bit like Vista.
On the other hand, Spaces is really neat. I haven't played w/ the new iChat yet, but iCal and Mail are better. Also, it's nice that all apps from Apple now have a unified look.

Went to the store at 6pm...long line here in RIC but it moved quickly. That was a REALLY COOL experence! We got in the store and the employees cheered and clapped...in and out in 10 mintues. Got a family pack, server edition and a keyboard.
I asked Mrs. Spacebass if we could wear our teeshirts, drink martinis and do the upgrades to each computer...she glared at me. So far we have martinis but I think the teeshirt idea was a bit much!

C2D MBP and 1.33 12" G4 Powerbook upgraded and running like a champ. Eying the 500Mhz G4 tower, but haven't gotten up the nerve.
What's impressive is the speed it runs on the four-year old PowerBook. Take that, Vista!
