You should be able to sneak in 10-15 4-thread instance. ;)

Strong new addition in AKDan. Really moving up quickly.

Good folding by aloha1906 as well. The FT team is holding at 150 for now, but we should be making gains in the coming weeks...

Thanks for the kudos. Been rather busy driving about the US. Not flying much of late or keeping up with FT threads.

I've been trying to ignore the rankings and just fold, but every so often I peak at "the list". I don't have an arsenal of computers in play, but it is tempting to "borrow" some processing time from a few powerhouses that I have access to.

I saw you set up a team, so I joined.

My cluster has been offline for several weeks. I couldnt get it to get data. Finally, after reading the forums yet again I noticed that the Linux SMP client wasnt able to figure out how much memory you had. It turned out that it thought it only had 15 megs to work with so it wouldnt get any workunits. I manually configured it to think that it had 16,000 megs and now it seems to be working fine.

Unfortunately, I'll have to bow out soon - permanently this time.

I'm switching jobs and the new place isn't going to be as inefficent as my current one. :p

The team will be sorry to lose you. :(

Many thanks for the Major contributions!

I think it will be a long time before anyone replaces you at the top of the list. :D

The team is up to #138 and closing in on a milestone - 10 million points.

10 million! ^

I thought I might as well do it. That way we exist across a couple of BOINC projects and our stats are added up on boincstats.

New iMac is here! Time to start another one. Although the software is crashing repeatedly on our linux cluster. It just runs and then cant transfer the data. I havent been able to fix it yet. I also have a MacPro that just arrived (8 cores, 16 gigs of RAM) that I might try to start.

Nice! ^

The few processors left running under my account are testament to my former employer's inefficiency. All of those are test/spare servers which hasn't been rebooted since my departure...

Well, I loaded fah6 on the iMac and it wont get data. Just keeps saying that it cant load data. They could use a little more documentation. The instructions on the site dont even have the right version number and dont tell you the right command line switches to use. I had to figure it out from the error messages. Then when it is all configured it still doesnt work. :(

SETI@Home is now part of BOINC http://boinc.berkeley.edu/ from University of California - Berkely. Many options on porjects to support and easy to use. No special key strokes to stop or start the program. You can adjust the settings to allocate how much RAM you want the program to use.
