I did. I just hung up with them. I tried hinting around the fact that that's what I was looking for, but he told me to "research more shipping prices."
This thing sells on eBay new from dealers for $25. It costs Cardo a fraction of that. It's not like I'm asking for a new PocketPC or something.

I've been trying out my new Cardo Scala 500 this morning, and I've got mixed feelings at the moment. Fit, form factor, functionality and volume are all wonderful, but I seem to get more static than I'd like. It doesn't appear to be a function of the distance from the phone to the headset; it sounds pretty much the same whether the phone is 8 feet or 8 inches away.
My home is pretty RF-rich, though, with both 2.4Ghz dual-line cordless phones and 802.11G router/AP providing access for both a laptop and a PC. I'll have to see what happens when I'm in a "cleaner" area.

I use the HS810 and like it a lot, but as CT-UK and others said, it's not that useful in the car because of the low volume. I also have that trouble with it sometimes when walking through airports: I find myself pushing it against my ear to hear better, which obviously defeats the purpose of a hands-free headset.
I'm thinking about a car kit and wonder if anyone has any experience with either the one (Motorola's, that is) that requires professional installation and is mounted on the dashboard, versus the portable wireless speaker (HF800), which I think just clips to the visor. If I go the cheaper route and get the HF800, will I be frustrated by the same low volume problem that I have using the HS810 in the car?
And is the new headset, the HS850 better for use in the car than the HS810, or pretty much the same?

I have the Motorola headset and really like it. The only down side is that it seems to drain kinda quickly if you are driving around and forget to recharge it. I mean, 4 hours of talk time is not alot.

Everything's intelligible, but the sound quality isn't the same as the earpiece on my phone (Moto E815). As I said, could be my environment. I'll be out and about this afternoon . . . we'll see.

So it appears that my home's a bit noisy, electronically speaking

Exactly. I had an HS810 and it was the same design and I loved it. You can also turn it on my just flipping the boom mic open as well which I loved. When the phone would ring I would open the boom and it would connect to the phone and I pushed to answer button on the earpiece and viola, connected.
I just checked my tracking number and my HS850 was delivered today. Ill be able to pick it up when I get back to the office Monday

I recently acquired the new Treo BT headset after I munched my Cardo Scala 500 by putting it in my pocket with some change (fragile litter bugger). The Scala 500 worked okay, but I had to re-pair it often, like every time I either shut off the phone or the headset. Not so with the Treo headset. I've paired it once, and it comes back up every time I turn it on. The range and clarity seem to be a little better, as well.
I am reasonably sure that this headset will work with other BT phones, despite its name.

Oh man, GadgetFreak loves that Moto HS850. You were right ScottC. Used it with my Nokia 6230 and with my Dell desktop over Skype. Going to leave the old Jabra 200 with the desktop though, traveling with the HS850. Very nice, and I think a real value at $69. ^^
