Nov 2019, used Fi flawlessly in Morocco, Portugal, and Spain. Best travel sim I ever used. Came back home and went back to verizon, decided I liked Fi so much, have switched the whole family over. So far so good. Teenage daughters seem happy, so must all be working. Really look forward to traveling again and not worrying about switching sims, and everything just working right off the plane. Could dial numbers exactly as they appear etc. We are on IPhones, hopefully google will allow for the cell switching service and WI-FI calling soon. There is a work around to use google voice for WI-FI calling anyways.

Ok new problem for you gurus out there. I am using google fi on an Iphone xs, I am using the esim (don't think that matters) my issue is the voice mail, it sends me text message of the voice mail and leaves the recorded version in the app. I really would like to be able to save my voicemails as an mp3 file for example, anybody know how to do this?

If you log into your fi account online I'm pretty sure you can see the voicemail files there. From there you can download or save to Google Drive. I remember doing this myself a few years ago.

I am using Pixel 3XL on Fi, and I don't see anywhere in the Fi website that you could see your voicemail. I think the only place you could find voicemail recording is on your phone and there is no native way to download the file.

I have no such options, I am on IOS, I contacted google support, a specialist is going to email me, which leads me to believe there is not a solution to this at the moment

In the native phone/voicemail app, if you have a voicemail selected, at the bottom of the options is "Send to..." which lets you share the MP3 with an external app.

so google fi support confirmed that ios does not have the same feature that android has for saving, forwarding, etc. when I did a search on this, somebody suggested using google "take out" as a way of downloading your data, I can confirm I did this and was able to download the mp3 voicemail. it is a big pain in the ..., but for those that REALLY want to save a voicemail on ios, this will work.

I still LOVE Fi for their international capabilities. I feel they are hands down the best US carrier for people who travel overseas. That said, the reception on t-mo or sprint can be sketchy in certain areas or in buildings. Also, even FI's unlimited plan goes into a hard throttle when you reach 22GB, rather than a simple deprioritization that T-Mo proper has at the limit.
I've now solved this problem:
Meanwhile, my FI is now set to the Flexible plan, so this 2-carrier combo is costing me LESS than Fi's "Unlimited" plan. |

Visible uses a standard SIM card, don't think they offer eSIM's now
I have read your can only tether one device to it but there may workarounds Their service does include unlimited voice and text. |
