iPhone 4 Question
Question for the experts.
I just got off the phone with my partner who is in Colombia visiting family.
Before he left Bogata his mom gave him her iPhone to use. She got it last year and did not have an iTunes account, so Mauricio just set it up with his account.
During the year someone finally set her up with an account. It shows her account when he logs and but if he tries to download an app such as Skype, it is asking him for his app store password. For some reason it is keeping that in storage. Is there a way for him to get rid of that so it's asking for her password without resetting the phone?

I had suggested that when I talked to him this morning... he has tried three times and it did not work.... for some reason it will not forget "his" ID even though it is logged into her account.

She did have an iTunes account and just wasn't aware of it, since I'm about 98% sure you need one to set up the phone.
It will prompt for her password to update or download any apps originally purchased with her account on the phone (i.e., before she gave it to him). The only rock solid, 100% guaranteed way to get rid of all such prompts if the link above isn't working, is to wipe the phone and set it up as a new phone (settings-general-reset-erase all content and settings).

Dave,
Think you missed what I posted... Mauricio had set up the phone originally with his iTunes account. The family finally set her up with an account sometime this year.... it properly asks for her password when he goes into iTunes. But... when he tries to download a new program, it is asking for his password from HIS iTunes account. As such, she cannot download apps unless she has his information.
