That'd be some odd anatomy to have it on the outside of your thigh. :D |

I think some of them will like it just fine.
Should have better camera and of course the bigger screens should appeal to certain narcissistic tendencies exhibited by the selfies trend. |
I also like the current size. I'm hoping they trim the bezels/surrounds and keep the physical dimension of the complete hardware very close to the 5. At one point, bezel-less was a rumor with a very, very minor width increase.

There was/is a report in the NYTimes about the new iPhones and the iWatch not sure how much of this is news but interesting nonetheless. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/09/05/te...seid=auto&_r=1

I hate when manufacturers keep the same number of home screen rows and columns despite increasing the screen size (Samsung, I'm looking in your general direction here :D). All of that beautiful extra space is wasted. I figured Apple would do better than that, so I hope this mock-up isn't accurate.

Apple has been in talks with InterContinental Hotels Group about a possible partnership for a loyalty program
I wonder what that could be. |
Icon matrixes should be user selectable.

15 or so hours until Apple eats their words?

Should be. Aren't out of the box on Android either, although there are third-party launchers that are.
My criticism was not just for Apple, though. My beautiful Samsung Galaxy Note 2 came out of the box with the same 4 x 5 matrix as the similarly-timed Galaxy S3. What a stupid waste of glorious real estate. :D |
Apple did increase the icon density the last time they changed the screen size, and I suspect the illustration of potential screen size changes didn't worry about that detail. So it may or may not change.
Personally, also having older eyes, I prefer the layout on my iPad over the iPhone. But the 6 icons across the bottom would for fine for the entire screen, and probably one or two additional rows. |
