You didn't write this. Why did you simply copy and paste this straight from this website?

I like the version that wraps around my iPhone. As we are seeing more and more restrictions on traveling or mailing lithium ion batteries, one that is physically part of my phone seems the safest bet. I already carry more electronics than the TSA wants. Dumbing it down seems the safest bet.
I have a Mophie case, but would love to find something similar with a kickstand. I use a kickstand style case as my day-to-day case with my iPhone and use it as my travel alarm/sleep sound machine. I hate having to switch cases just for this perfect.
I feel like I have a wardrobe for my iPhone. I have the active case for the him. The kickstand (with a svelt case) for day-to-day and the Mophie case for travel or long days away from cars or the office.

I hope we do not get to the point where they restrict lithium ion batteries on carry on.
But if there ever is a fire in the cargo area that started with a cell phone etc in the luggage than we may see that day.
Soarer
and I got my $6 , 1900mAH external iPhone batteries off ebay in the mail the other day
EDIT: I tried my 1900mAH external iPhone batteries on my iPad and it would not accept it , not sure why but I had hoped they would have worked to have a back-up when traveling .
Has anyone else found one that works ?

I've gone through three Mophies. Two were rendered useless by the crappy Micro-USB port on the side (one had the port pushed deep into the phone when trying to insert the plug one day, and the other had the port break loose because of vertical pressure on the cord--it's too easy to bump when it's plugged in), and the third appears to work in every way (plugs in fine, charges fine, flashes all four white LEDs fine) except it doesn't charge the phone when you put the phone inside (sometimes flicking the on/off switch will get it to start charging for a few minutes until an error comes up about charging not being supported with this accessory).
I really, really want to like the Mophie, but my track record with it is not positive. They could go a long way towards fixing the biggest issue (the poor positioning of the port) by moving the port to the bottom of the device (the LEDs can be moved, made smaller, or go away completely--they're too big and bright and annoying, anyway, when charging the phone in a dark room) and ideally switching to the much-more-robust standard iPhone connector. For now, it's just too fragile of an accessory to stand up to regular use.
Just my $.02.
