Fax from Computer?

Just received a request to send PDFs to an embassy by way of fax. Any recommendations on the easiest way to send these from my laptop to the destination without getting out of this chair?

Uh, did you Google or search this forum? There is at least one long thread on that subject.

j2.com/efax.com should fit the bill.

I use faxaway.com. You'd need an account to use it, but there are no ads. And for $1 a month, I have my own inbound fax number. Inbound is free and sending has some nominal fee. You can send PDFs via their web site or by sending email with the PDF attached

All the computers that I have owned over the last 15 years have had FAX capability built in. I'm not sure why you would need a commercial fax service to do that (although, I do subscribe to MY Fax for all my incoming faxes - it has been wonderful)

Second Vote to Faxaway - For $1/month, you just use it when you need to, super simple to use, and just works! Since most of us have given up using faxes I presume, its a good backup for that once in a while fax like in your case!
