The website is owned by google and it's blank.
The WSJ story here:http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000..._LEFTWhatsNews

If WSJ locked, try this alternative link: http://www.phonescoop.com/news/item.php?n=5258

cnet.com's take here: http://www.cnet.com/8301-19736_1-104...g=2547-1_3-0-5

Of personal interest is possibility of 3G network access for both AT&T and TMO....

Nexus One from Google

The Nexus One is sporting the fantastic AMOLED display technology.
See photo here:

No backlighting and supersharp display, especially the blacks. I think just the fact that it has a pretty good display is something worth being excited about.

About time T-Mobile got a high-end Android device. The current lineup was getting stale.

The rumor is that Google will sell it directly, bypassing the carriers.

For that to be useful in the US they will have to create a version that can work on other 3G bands - selling a phone directly that will only work on one US provider's network will just result in that carrier creating plans that give them as much margin as they would get on any other phone contract.

Outside the US is a different story though - but again, would still need a compatible handset.

Perhaps some real competition for Apple?

Not before time IMO. Hopefully this will be the device that gets Apple to open up a little, especially when it comes to i) selling iPhone unlocked/sans contract and ii) cell networks it will work with. Of course, Apple does hold quite a lead in the area of applications so maybe neither will happen too soon.

Based on the evidence this week Apple is testing iPhone Version 4. Also there is a report of a "special event" to be held January 26 and also speculation that a major new version of the iphone will be released at the WWDC evidently to be held at the end of June. Perhaps in January we will see a Tablet - either 7" or 10" screen - heralding a revolution in the world of print media.

The iPhone has really crushed the AT&T 3G network. I've been running my AT&T BB on EDGE for the last month or avoid the AT&T's 3G volume/load troubles.

Opening the iPhone up to other 3g networks will help everyone.

Maybe not all of those other networks ;)

I like my iphone a lot but it is a complete data pig. It uses vastly more data to get mail for instance than a Blackberry.

Yup, if you're using the iPhone's push option with Exchange, you're looking at 4-6MBs a month (moderate usage) compared to less than 1MB with a Blackberry. When roaming, I'm budgeting £100-200 per month for data alone (because we tend to use iPhone for far more than just email).

Are you kidding? I use 2-8 MB per DAY on my iPhone with Exchange mail depending on use.
