All are great, but I LOVE the In-N-Out picture. A familiar sight for me.

Hello All,

We went to plane spotting at PHX yesterday and the weather is so beautiful days for us and we watched plane is up on the top floors of the parking garage at terminals 3.

2 DL 757 is sitting on the tarmac and 1 DL 737-800 is already landing into Sky Harbor. So here it is:

Regards

It's a partnership thing. Airlines can opt for that paint style.

Wiki sez... apparently this was one of the last 747-400s delivered by Boeing; China got it in exchange for a couple of older -400s that they gave to Boeing to convert to Dreamlifters.

Just out of interest why would a airline opt for that? Do they get a better rate? Why would you want to advertise another company rather then your own? Unless you get paid for it.

Not sure. I've seen that livery on a 737 too. IIRC it was Air Berlin.

It's also on an Alaska Airlines jet named "Spirit of Seattle."
A better picture and more info is on this page, but you have to click Spirit of Seattle on the left navigation bar; I couldn't link directly to the sub page: http://www.alaskaair.com/as/www2/com...leet/Fleet.asp

Edit: here's the actual picture from that page (NOT MY IMAGE!!!)]:

I never knew that. So they will take a old 747 and put a new body shell on it to make it into a dreamlifter?

And here's the Air Berlin one I was thinking of. I had read the Wiki article on the 737 so many times that I knew I had seen it there.
