Mt Fuji at Dusk from Cathay Pacific HND-HKG 30th Nov

Hi,

Mt Fuji in the distance flying HND HKG

Approaching Mt Fuji

Experienced a wonderful view of Mt Fuji on departure on 30th November on the 1610 CX HND-HKG flight ( 5 of the previous 7 days in Tokyo had cloud and rain but the last 2 days had clear skies). Taken from my mobile phone ( have more on the DSLR but have had problems uploading these previously)

Regards

Great shots. Agree that its mostly luck (with the weather) to have view of Mt. Fuji. I flew by many times and only once had I got the luck. Resulted in the pic below (sorry if I had posted this before)

Take off from LGA

I felt this was better captured by video. Rarely fly out of LGA but I was glad to have done it this day last summer. Rarely have things line up for such a clear view of NYC ( in my experiences )

Fantastic! I've only been to LGA once - arrival was at dusk and overcast, and departure was sunny but due to an IRROP I got rebooked into the middle seat in the last row of an MD-80 (where there's no window due to the engine). I did get a decent view of Manhattan on approach to EWR from the north once though.

I was out for a walk yesterday and heard a sound I hadn't heard in a while. I realized what it was and looked up:

I was supposed to take off on a month-long trip in a few days, and this brought home to me the fact that I was not going to be flying away.

Earthbound.
