very friendly skies!
Love this thread. Spent a couple of days looking at all the incredible photos on the last forty pages w/o navigating to other pages (too bad about all the missing images scattered throughout). That's why I love flying! The earth is a beautiful place, the sky is amazing. I'd love to see all these images in a slide show. Thanks all for all of that. There's a lot I hope to see for myself someday.
Not sure what I like more... the sights below or above among the clouds, or sometimes just looking up at a pretty blue sky.

Thanks! At the moment I shoot with a Canon 7D and a variety of lenses including the Sigma 50-500, Canon EF 70-200L f/4 and Sigma 10-20 (I also have a Canon 40D but that's poorly at the moment and awaiting a trip to the camera hospital). This was taken back in July 2008 using a Canon 350D and the basic non-IS version of the EF-S 15-55 kit lens.
Just slightly off topic, I see in your profile you're a sound engineer. That's precisely the occupation that takes me on the vast majority of my trips.

Great shot, BTW. Something magical about the wings of a 744.
