The more unusual views & experiences: an ASKY airlines 737-700 on the tarmac of Dakar Airport, Senegal. In the background the hideous African Renaissance Monument, built by the North Koreans (!) as you can perhaps see from its communist-realist style.

Yep...with Koryo Tours, I visited the Mansudae Art Studio in Pyongyang. At the time (March '10), they were finishing up a statue of Joseph Kabila (of the DRC).
