Why I love flying, in an image...

I've always wondered the same thing. Is it a current thing? Edge of the continental shelf? (Off the coast of FCO, doubt it's that.) Hopefully someone can shed some light.

I always thought it had to do with depth as well, but apparently not. Here is the answer from NASA's web site:

Ocean Color

It turns out it has more to do with the particulate matter in the water that reflects the light differently.

Still sorting through pics from our epic month-long trip to NZ in Feb.
One highlight was the charter flight over Mt. Cook and Fox Glacier on the South Island. Being on board an A380 or 747 has its own feel as does flying in a Cessna Skyhawk .

Hey there, for the photos I have posted I have used a Nikon D800 and Canon S100. The flickr links also include the EXIF info for each shot.
