Once heading between SFO and PDX at (I believe) sunrise, I saw this strange mix of thick dark clouds with lighter white clouds mixing around the top.

I really can't sum it up into one image so here's 6...
Somewhere over Iowa or Nebraska or thereabouts
All of those taken on AAL143 from BOS-LAX. The city shots are in LAX at night. These were taken on a tiny Sony Cybershot DSC-WX9...superior auto. I was IMPRESSED.

Just after departure from FCO.
Does anyone know why the sea suddenly changes color to such a deeper blue? Is that where the deeper part of the sea start? Never seen it start so sharply.
