Tanker Fire destroys part of Interstate 95 in Philadelphia
On June 11, a gasoline tanker fire destroyed a section of I-95 in north Philadelphia. Officials anticipate it will take many months to rebuild this major north-south artery. In the meantime, somewhere over 100K cars and trucks per day are being detoured onto city streets or long alternative routes. I suggest Amtrak, SEPTA or NJTransit if you're traveling between NYC-Philly-DC and points beyond.
