Eastcoast Quarantine
With political tension in Bangkok rising and Covid cases the highest in Bangkok, why should one serve quarantine in Bangkok...
Has anybody recently done quarantine around the airport (Samut Prakan) or further south in Chonburi, Sri Racha or Pattaya?
Any recommendation? Good points and not so good ones?

I was going to post, I don't have any recommendation but it was something I was looking into as well but I won't be visiting until December - who knows what will be in place by then!
I saw in Pattaya some ASQ hotels with balcony's for less than 40k for the 15 nights, similar to what I paid for Bangkok in April for 10 nights. There is also a flight from U-Tapao to Udon Thani for getting up to the North East.

I did not have any great suggestions either (sorry) as I am not much familiar with the ASQ offerings around the EEC. But I do agree with you, it does sound like a more compelling option, especially if there is an option of having use of a balcony.

I could imagine that in December, length of quarantine will be shortened and more options of sandbox will be in place
I would have probably gone for the sandbox (as i already once served quarantine for full 15 days in march in a Bangkok ASQ with balcony and a beautiful garden...), but I must do my yearly extension beginning of october and sandbox is still pretty complicate...
