Interesting they haven't actually released a seat map for this yet. Is it going to be staggered business class like their 777's or 2-2-2? Is a large reduction in seats compared to their A330's which this plane will replace on a lot of routes.

So I did a dummy booking for business and the seats show as 2-2-2. But the article did say flat bed seats didn't it? So how many different business class seats will Thai be running around with? A330 recliners, angled V1 (the better one), angled V2 (the worse one), staggered flat, and now this one? Is that correct?

I believe the 787 will feature the same business seats as United (the Continental type), new KLM World Business Class, Aeroflot, Air China.

So what happened if I book BKK-TYO in F on the 747 or A380 and down the road the plane gets down-gauged to a 787?

It's B/E Aerospace Diamond seat. The seat is full flat bed but arranged in pairs so the 2-2-2 seat map is accurate. It's the same seat as installed on ex-Continental UNITED aircraft.

Thai 787

Looks great! It's still such a pity they didn't use something like this in the 747s when they were refitted as I understand the 777-300ER and A380 seats aren't rated, but all that expense to put in on angled seats just seemed crazy.

Winter schedule should be updated by August at the earliest.

Crap, more airlines are adapting to the 2-2-2 business seat style over the 1-2-1

Unfortunately, It's a business . I wouldn't choose a J seat on a 787 cuz I just don't like the plane but while biz is bad enough what many airlines re doing in Y borders on criminal
