I met the archetypal "whingeing Pom" on my last trip out of Bangkok to Australia. He was indignantly demanding why there was a third security check at the gate as "I'm a Business Class passenger". I told him to blame the Australian government

it is actually amazing that there is no appropriate map to find on the internet where the premium lane and TG's fast track is clearly drawn. Otherwise I would have posted a link

and that check in at the gate has no fast track! maybe because of the socialist Australian government?

Is it just me, or are they taking more time now with each passenger? I know it can vary depending on passport, but even US now seems to take quite a while.
I have not noticed that with my passport from a European country! maybe your current president does not speed up things with his popularity in Asian countries...

The D4 immi hall fast track/TG area was switched from the right to left sides mid-2016.

Not "my" President and the political commentary is OT and inappropriate.

Can we please keep it the discussion to experiences with fast track at BKK?

"socialist"? I didn't realise that being totally paranoid about terrorists was a characteristic of socialists, else the USA would be the most "socialist" in the world

I go through Thai immigration at least twice a month, and in the last 5 years, I've never waited more than 2 minutes. Are you folks making this up?

It can get crowded depending on time of arrival but if you NEVER waited more than 2 minutes.
Then either you hold a Thai Passport, or you have access to the 'vip' concourse G.

I can't recall having more than a 5 or 10 min wait for inbound but I have experienced 30+ minute lines for outbound - and the regular channels then were ridiculous.

Either your flights in/out are consistent and during lull immi times or you are just extremely lucky.

30+ minutes Outbound was for Premium lane, not for TG, right?
For me, TG the maximum was 3-4 minutes during last couple of years but Premium Lane is getting worse recently

Correct.

It's been awhile since I've taken TG C/F exBKK.

Did you remember what time/date (holidays) it was 30+ mins in premium lane? I know the regular is usually crazy but for premium never had to wait longer than 10 mins and I think flight crews don't cut lines anymore either.
