I’m sorry to read about the traffic. This was a fear in texas leading up to the eclipse. We were relieved that we didn’t have bad traffic. We also have friends who cancelled their trips due to cloud fears. Idk what totality would have been like with clouds. I can just say that we were lucky to have clear skies during totality after some clouds before totality. We were lucky to stay in a place (40k hh points per night) that was near a pond so that we could just enjoy the eclipse near our hotel parking lot. Zero stadium needed.

if it were cloudy then I would have been fine only because of the luck of having done so many other things in Texas during this eclipse trip. I also rarely fly somewhere for an ultra short trek. There’s too much to do in every place we’ve visited.
