FT chat not working for the past 72 hours
 

Time to bump this thread since I have been receiving an error message since Tuesday.

The error message is something like "an unknown error occurred while connecting to the DigiChat application"

Receiving the same message when trying to sign into chat (12:16am 7/29)

In lieu of our tinychat workaround (which has a VERY annoying character limit per message), I've setup a flyertalk channel on mibbit.

Chat still does not work.

For that matter are there any frequent flyer or deal discussion irc channels that anyone knows of?

Ok, I thought it was just me. Heck I rarely go into chat & now that I do, it doesn't work. :mad:

Here's the message I received (trying to read my handwriting):

"An unknown error occured while connecting to Digichat Server. Please contact the administrator of this site. java.lang.exeption http servelt address not specified."

Something like that. Close enough for the techies to figure out.

Well a week later & still same message.

I decided to take a rare visit to chat and see that it has been down for a while. And no response from IB? This is part of the reason I hardly come here anymore.

Dick has been aware of this issue and is looking into this. We know chat is a popular feature and we apologize for the delay in resolving this.

I have been an infrequent visitor in FT Chat for some time now. Tech issues are part of the reason I was just not bothering as much with chat (other is Intl date/time changes and work demands :D )! However, its disappointing to see that yet again there are further tech issues with the chat function.

Not impressed. The first public report of a problem was a month ago and this was the first acknowledgement of a problem which has been experienced on and off for months.
