FT wierdness

I'm not sure what is going on but some things are looking wierd right now.

Addresses have changed. While links still seem to work, it is not as easy to navigate to specific posts.

Icons have stopped displaying.

Quick reply and quick edit no longer working.

Navigate to an inputted page number option is gone.

Are these changes temporary or permanent? Hopefully only temporary.

Some admin is playing with vbSEO addon.

Probably the same admin that has been making FT down for hours.

Adding to the list of problems, it looks like we are back to the OLD "Travel & Dining" page and the "destination" forums can't be reached.

Yes, something weird is going on. I'm unable to open any of the forums highlighted in blue at the moment. Can open every other forum, however.

You cna only open forums that are direct to discussion, forums with subforums are screwed up. all in the name of Search Engine Optimization......I guess iB didn't check and see that FT is already well indexed and places high in search results without buying addons.

it takes WAY too long to type out the text to jump forums..

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/starw...red-guest-429/ etc

i guess we just have to depend on the jump thing at the bottom of the page?

Nah, it seems like a good opportunity for me to leave work on time for a change.

But, thanks for the link.

That's what it's doing for me too. However, using Forum Jump at the bottom of the page does work to access those threads.

Actually, the Forum Jump box at the bottom of the page works better.

Thanks Kagehitokiri for reminding us about it.

True, I usually use the forum breakdowns at the top and rarely make it to the bottom of the page, go to change that now till iB removes this product or otherwise fixes it.
