Is it possible to increase the actual size of the text box when replying to a thread? I'm using a Nokia E61i and everything is adjusted to my screen, except the text box which is too small.

I don't think there is a way to adjust this, no. Doing so could cause some problems for users as well.

wireless FT has not been working for the past 24hrs. I'm feeling deprived:(

Thanks for posting. Seemed like it was down forever.:D^

Did anybody get the Nokia N95 to get this? I can browse the normal site but not the wireless one!

Tried FT on my windows mobile 5.0 device (T Mobile SDA) and it works perfectly using IE! Glad to see we finally have compatability without having to download Opera. ^

I had no chance to read through this thread.

On FT wireless, I can't see the post titles one can enter on the wired FT. Very tragical for WWBTNFTTPITT!

Is it broken again?

Continue getting a "Page Cannot be Downloaded" error.

It is broken for me, also.:(

Peace2Peep Oct 19, 2007 11:46 pm

it works on my blackberry 8800 but tiny amounts of text at a time...want larger pages that i can just scroll. one post view at a time is really tedious!

Robbiedeluxe Oct 20, 2007 8:13 am

I'm getting time outs on my TyTN II as well as my old Nokia E61i. Yesterday I had to actually read the newspaper on my way to work. Depressive stuff.

cielodome Oct 20, 2007 11:59 pm

I have been trying for two days to get onto the wireless forums, but each time it comes back with a server error and that it has timed out. Every other web site I go to works just great.:(

Yes, it isnt working for me either. It did for a short time a day or two ago then out again.

robb Oct 21, 2007 5:35 am

Glad to hear it wasn't just my new phone!

(Hey, while we're at it... It would be nice to add a plain text link to FT Wireless from the main ft.com page. I could not find the address for mobile.flyertalk.com until I logged in on my laptop and found it in the menus at the top of the page. Those menus don't appear like that on most phone browsers.)

I cant access FT from my Palm..... is the service down?

I am not sure... I can't really tell from the last 5 or so posts if wireless FT is down or not. But I'll bet if you pad~N~N~N post a few more times we might find out for sure. ;)

FBKSan Oct 22, 2007 11:43 pm

Any word on why mobile access is down... or when it might be back up? I'm traveling tomorrow, and I really miss being able to access FT on the go!

Gaucho100K Oct 23, 2007 6:34 am

WAP is still down...... :(

cielodome Oct 23, 2007 7:45 pm

WAP has been down for me since friday 10/19. I try at least 20 times a day but it always returns that the sever has timed out.

Any solutions to this problem ? ? ?

cielodome Oct 25, 2007 9:52 am

WAP is still not working for me....

After tryring every possible address to get to the WAP site, I continue to get this message on mt BlackBerry-8800: "The server returned the following error while attempting to fulfill your request: 'Connection Timed Out'".

Is there any info on this? Is there a new address? Is WAP having problems? Any answers???

Thonas!

I PM'ed with an FT tech guy a couple days ago, and he said that both mobile.flyertalk.com and www.flyertalk.com/wap were working for him (and both redirected to the gallery.flyertalk.com... page). None of these is working for me, from either my desktop or Treo. He said some other group was in charge of wireless tech and that he'd forward my comments.

Can anyone confirm that they are able to access the wireless site through any of these addresses? It would be nice to know if this problem is somehow specific to some users.

I can confirm that mobile.flyertalk.com is NOT working, coming from a phone in the Chicago area.

Lurker1999 Oct 25, 2007 3:43 pm

Down via Sprint since Fri 10/19. I've tried all the address combinations above..

aisleorwindow Oct 25, 2007 4:05 pm

gallery.flyertalk.com/wap is not working for me as of right now.

Other wap sites are working fine on my phone (T-Mobile SDA Smartphone).

The error looks like this:

HTTP ERROR: 504

Gateway Timeout

RequestURI=/wap/

No idea what that means, but maybe someone here does???

robb Oct 25, 2007 9:23 pm

It would be really great if someone would provide some kind of update or at least "I won't be able to take a look until ..."

This is getting ridiculous to have post after post of "Not working here"

Gaucho100K Oct 26, 2007 5:24 am

Still not working for me..... :(

The tech guys won't be able to take a look until ... today :p

Apologies for the lack of response on this issue. Actually, they have been looking, but other issues keep popping up and have taken precedence. Looks like this one has reached the top of the list though, so, fingers crossed, it will be resolved soon.

It's always difficult to say how soon "soon" is, but I feel confident we can say it will be fixed sooner rather than later ;)

Thanks very much! It's nice not to be in limbo anymore! :D

Mrp Alert Oct 26, 2007 2:28 pm

Please get it fixed for us, Mikel! Opera and IE 6.0 are both painfully slow on my buffet of wireless devices.

robb Oct 26, 2007 7:34 pm

Thanks!

cielodome Oct 26, 2007 10:35 pm

Thank you for finally looking into this issue . . .^

robb Oct 30, 2007 7:33 am

Now I just have to figure out why it shows both my old phone and new phone (with different spellings of BlackBerry, no less!) in the header line. :)

I think I saw a setting. I'll figure it out.

cblaisd Nov 2, 2007 6:52 am

Tim, here's a weird one. Since wireless came back online, whenever I try to post from my Treo 650 when I press "Submit" my Treo crashes and soft resets.

I have no problem posting on other BBs that use the same software as FT -- but on those it's the "regular" boards not the /wap version.
