Replying to PM's

Anyway we can get a normal "Reply" option as opposed to just the "Reply with Quotes"?

The current option gets messy after a few replies.

Thanks,

One workaround to this issue is that you could click on the Reply w/Quote button and take the extra step to simply select and delete part or all of the quoted text before typing in your message and sending it.

It is a minor inconvenience but quickly doable...

You seriously underestimate my laziness

Thanks though.

You were not too lazy to launch this thread and post a message, which takes considerably more effort than the workaround I suggested...

...however, I do believe this issue may have been raised before, so lets see what the famous FlyerTech* team has to say...

*FlyerTech is a new nickname I coined just now for Tim at WebFlyer, John at Webflyer and Mikel at Webflyer...

There is the normal reply button, labeled "Post Reply", it is located at the top and bottom of each thread and requires no deleting of quotes... Sounds like that should work for you.

Edit:
My bad this is about PMs not regular threads... Disregard what I said.

This is correct when replying to a normal FlyerTalk thread, Tim, but 500 miles at a time specifically inquired about replying to a private message, where there currently is no Post Reply button.

There is no "Reply" option in Private Messages.

The button used to say just "Reply," but we changed it to "Reply with Quotes" at the request of the users, because a PM reply always includes quotes..

I remember that, and the change was definitely warranted.

I guess this is a vBulletin software issue, minor as it may be...
