Flyer Talk Doesn't Save My Posts

Twice when finishing a long post in the ASIA forum, Flyer Talk asks me log in again. When I do, it loses all of what a typed and I'm left with an empty post, which a can't even delete.

Using Firefox 1.0.7 under Windows.

If there is inactivity for a certain amount of time while you are logged onto FlyerTalk, you will be automatically logged off, regardless of the Internet browser and computer platform which you are using.

One simple solution is to type the content of a long milepost in a simple word processing application program. When you are finished, log onto FlyerTalk. Then, copy the text and paste it into your milepost. Click on the Submit Reply button when you are done.

Another method is to occasionally click on the Preview Post button while you are formulating the content of your milepost. This serves two purposes: it refreshes FlyerTalk and automatically counts as activity, and you get to preview the content of your milepost before actually submitting it. This method is especially useful if you use any formatting, such as bold words.

A third trick that I use is simply clicking on the Back and Forward buttons on the Internet browser which I am currently using. This also counts as activity for remaining logged onto FlyerTalk, and your text will still be there.

There are several other workarounds to this issue, but I find that the methods explained above work best at least, for me.

I hope this information has been helpful to you, Bowgie.

Canarsie, and all, this is something NEW. There is another thread here in technical issues http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt...eferrerid=3941 that FT (for the past 2-3 weeks) has not been remembering sign in. I am accepting cookies, I have not changed firewalls, etc.

In the middle of a session, Im logged off bt FT. Same with leaving FT and returning...It does not "remember me"
