My intention was this:
How many miles did you earn and
How many reward (free) nights did you earn
Both were meant through all means, so if you have a credit card that helps you earn miles or nights, those can be included.
I agree with the blank spaces being unsightly and we really tried to make them disappear. We hope to do that for a future release. I'll even ask for the ability to hide badges to be developed.

That's all that was asked from day one.
There was no need to be rude to the more seasoned posters in search of new.

In what way do you mean "off"? I understand many FlyerTalkers have been to more than 50 countries. That's already been addressed in this thread and there will be upcoming badges. Although if we're on the topic of my intent, I would say you have not been to a country if you haven't experienced the culture and people. Having a layover in an airport or staying in your hotel and ordering room service the whole time doesn't count.
ETA: Even with my intent, how you ultimate decide to calculate and display your badges is up to you

I love this badges change. Its fun. I also spent 5 minutes typing the countries Ive visited and had previously forgotten Taiwan. Too funny as Ive been there 2 separate times. I enjoy having been to 20 countries as opposed to 19 :-)
exactly - we can do all our desired customizing in our MyFlyertalk sections. We can also ignore the badges if they bother us. I enjoy seeing what people choose to share.
I want to bigly congratulate you for this. Thankfully we also can include this with our info in that MyFlyertalk section. Its fabulous.
Mega kudos! Thats fantastic.

Why n
t use a .gif/.png with "transparent" as the color? Most browsers support that.

IBJoel - Many folks, myself included, have been asking how the number of countries visited were first assigned by default. What crawlers were used and based on what data? Or was it just randomly assigned in the hope that the member would discover it's incorrect and go change it?
