Yeah, we're just completely unable to replicate this. I even had tech compare your individual profile to both mine and another person in your same usergroups. If it's dependent on how you're accessing the site, unfortunately there isn't anything we can do about it.

Thanks for looking into it.

I am guessing that this “email protected” issue with some of my posts (and even the “blog@Flyertalk” forum label) may have been related to FT or Cloudflare’s reception of the IP address used by me for the connections for the account only while I was logged into my account. I could replicate it showing up and disappearing for a while, but only in relation to my own account use at the time.

If my usergroup assignments are set back to what they were on October 17th/18th, I’ll try to see if that would make a difference with this “email protected” thing that came up only while I was logged in with some IP addresses but not while I was logged in via other IP addresses or not logged in. The ARG 4 and ARG 6 thing is still happening for some of my use of the Like feature, but that’s not new to last month.

I have never seen the ARG4 or ARG6 from other users just on my own, so I assume it is just displayed that way to the user that clicks like. Any experience on seeing this on other users or also just on your own likes?

IME when I am the first person to like a post, it gets recorded as "you"; when I'm not the first, it is ARG 4 or 6. Do any of you guys know the intended purpose of the ARGs? I gather they are here to stay?

There's no intended purpose, it's a straight-up bug in the code somewhere. But since it doesn't actually seem to affect anything, and only displays that way to the person who clicked the like button, I'm ok if they don't devote much time to investigating this and instead concentrate on more important things...

Just my own, but it is just a bug that’s been around enough that it’s even now sort of endearing.

The ACL issue is actually because the site we pulled from broke, and since IATA charges to use their code, we're going to build our own

How is that coming? If it will be much longer, how about paying IATA until the new ACL is ready?

This doesn't strike me as a high priority item either, it's easy to lookup airport codes with Google :) if I were in charge of FT/IB project management :p I would prioritize investments in the mobile skin experience to make it more usable and comparable to the desktop version (particularly search and wiki), for example.

On a completely unrelated topic, did the background colors just change slightly? I can't tell if it's that or if it's just because I turned up the brightness on my monitor :D On the one hand I like it for things like quoted text because it helps make that stand out (i.e. visually easier to read what's quoted vs. what the new poster is adding). OTOH I don't like it around the edges of the window so much, but I can live with it :)

EDIT: I think it's just my monitor. Oh well, never mind :)

Because they want like $8,000 or something for it and management is not going to approve that

In the name of all that is holy, the priority should be to stop the annoying backwards auto scroll when using the mobile site.

what is going on with IB??

This has been going on for a year or two for me. Very annoying. But, hey, let's update emojis

I’m now seeing “email protected” show up under some FTer’s “location” details on their profile. Saw it in the profile of a TLV location listed member while posting in an Aegean forum thread today. Previously had not seen that happen in member bio sections.

Dunno about others but "like" again isn't working.

FWIW just worked for me on your post. (The ARG button might not be working though :p)

I was just going to change my username to ARG6:Undefined so I can match :D
