Just got the update that this is being tested on a dummy version of the site, before being rolled out to the "live" site. This is done to make sure it works like the hypothesis and to scan for any bugs.

What kind of phone do you use? I have Android 7 and it works fine on Chrome. I know it also works on iOS 13 and the past several iterations on Safari.

I've been encountering this issue for a while as well. Switching to CKEditor does seem to have taken care of it, but I'm a simple man, so I'd love to be able to go back to the basic editor.

It is being worked on. It's a core software issue, so it takes a while and a few teams to go over it.
