iPad/Safari. I dislike it intensely. It’s over-white and generally untidy. The adverts are just SO intrusive, and the right-hand one has the ability ro overlay navigation buttons.
I won’t bother with FT for a week at least, in the hopes that there’s some significant improvement.

Ah, I forgot about the IB connection, and that does explain why the platform hasn't changed. Still, that being said I'm surprised that the newer elements from vb4/5 haven't been incorporated.

RE: main forum topic lists
The rows with the titles for sticky/normal threads is not visually separative. Just having bold text as a title, without the entire row having a background color (whatever that may be, even a dfdfdf would be better than the same background as thread titles) it makes it more difficult when scrolling to distinguish where normal thread list starts.

Found another one.
When you click on the arrow to take you to the first unread post, the height of the infinite scroll top bar isn't being taken into account. This is causing it to cover part of the post and you have to scroll up a bit to get it out of the way.

When I scroll up or down, there are so many moving parts. The top drop down, the side ads, just too many dynamic things. Plus what has been said a lot, there is too much wasted space between posts. I wish I could be like a pdf file, you just scroll up and down and not so many pop ups or moving bars.
An other significant issue is the time it takes to download posts when scrolling down.

I woke up this morning and raced to FT thinking for sure overnight they would have reverted back to the old format after reading the hundreds of posts from disgruntled members. That they would have taken the new format offline until all the problems could be worked out.
Alas...................

My patience quota will be soon consumed each time I visit.
If others have the same opinion, perhaps IB's advertisers will have to be satisfied with a trendy-looking web site in place of revenues.

Seriously - no blue/underscore indicating a hyperlink. Internet 101 since at least 1995?
I'm not sure how long I'll keep visiting a site that pisses me off every time I try to use it.

A good example of how IB is putting form over function.
IB should stop fixating on rolling out a new formatting that only a small minority like and, instead, focus on making the site work.

Is there a technical reason why this can't be rolled back to an unbroken state, beta-tested by those so inclined, improved as necessary and then released in, say, May or June?
Or is it just pigheadedness?

I have tried to reach this thread several times from links in the DL forum.
About half of the time, the link URL is displayed, and clicking it gets a Page Not Found error.
If I refresh the page, the link title is then displayed, rather than the URL. When I click the title, I get here successfully.
This has occurred multiple times, for the same link.
