Agreed. I am continually taken to the first post in the thread, then have to scroll down to figure out where I left off. Or, I am taken to the last post and only realize it when I see quoted posts that I haven't seen before. Getting very old indeed.

As I said upthread, this is getting worse as time goes on. It used to be that the weirdness happened sporadically and the norm was that it functioned properly. Working as it should has now become the rare exception. It is beyond annoying.

I do understand it's frustrating. Please do remember IB has nearly 100 sites; the days o stand-alone FT with a dedicated HOM tech staff are in ou pas. Anything changed for one site must be sufficiently proven to no affect any other site, as well as any other vB client. That can indeed take time.

Question: does the anomaly continue if you change he number of posts shown on one page?

For as long as I have been on Flyertalk, i have always been set at 40 posts per page as that is the most efficient for me and not to keep harping but it wasn't broken before the software "upgrade" back in March

I would expect a firm with 100 sites to have the technical ability to solve this problem in a more expeditious fashion.

I just switched from 40 posts per page to 20 PPP. It appears to have solved the problem, but I will need to wait for some threads to accumulate more posts so I can check again before I am confident.

I have been using 40 PPP for years, uneventfully until late last spring when this problem first arose.

I have only ever used the forum default, whatever that is.

I hadn't had this issue in awhile and every thread today it's taking me to the top of the last page instead of the last unread post or the very first post in a thread. Using safari on my iPad.

Numerous threads across flyertalk for me are still having the same problem-and this is both on my iMac and iPad using the full desktop version of the site
