LOUD audio playing on thread opening (audio ads prohibited on FT)
Twice in the last few minutes, an advertisement started playing loud audio as or immediately after the thread loaded. In such a case, I close the tab immediately. I have found FlyerTalk to be an extremely useful site, but not so much so that I am willing to put up with unwanted audio.
It's my opinion, of course, but this is bad for multiple reasons. I keep the volume down (but not off), and these ads came on like a 21 gun salute. It disturbs people in the house, starting with me. Also, here on the edge of nowhere, I achieve download speeds that are quadruple a dial-up modemon a good day. Having my bandwidth used to facilitate an annoyance compounds the issue. And I'm on a limited data plan when I travel, and downloaded noise (and, I suspect, accompanying motion) is not how I would choose to use my available bytes.
Please stop sound and video from automatically playing.

I am also encountering these ads.
Ones for San Luis Obispo getaway, the other is for Olay Beauty Bar.
(Links to screenshot)
EDIT: Got another for a game called Mobile Strike. I noticed when the ads load there is this place holder image.

I just had three in a row, but they were over before I found them to get the screen shot, so all I had was the blank screen. One was for Pantene (Panteen?), another was for jalapeno rolls, and I forget the third. Two of them were in the thread on Technical issues following the March 28 2016 software upgrade.

I'm glad I'm not the only one getting these annoying audio ads. It's embarrassing when in an airport club and this happens. I just had another one pop up. I didn't take a screenshot though. It was an "ad choices" pop-up box at the bottom of the page.
