I received a bizarre spammy PM from a user named "NineLives" - no links, but seemed to be some type of dating spam - but with the links missing.

Thanks. Neither you nor any other member will be hearing from NineLives, though we hope the spammer won't return in another life. I'll ask IBgkim to delete this person's PMs.

Thanks; keep those reports coming, we will continue swatting, Admin will block IP addresses that generate these but are not those used by legitimate FlyerTalk members. There's the rub, unfortunately.

It's a good thing that PMs are limited for new members.
BTW, what's the best way to deal with this? I noticed a green dot that an admin was online at this time and forwarded the PM to that person, but can senior mods also handle these things?

Except for the name, this is a bit mild compared to the PM I got.

Mods only have permissions to edit posts/threads in the forums they are assigned to moderate, but a suspension is done from a separate screen and any mod can suspend anyone if time is of the essence.

Any moderator can suspend any person, so any mod who is online should be able to help. Though the Senior Mods are the ones who volunteered for this kind of dirty work, so try them first.

Five PMs already sent isn't such a big deal, but fifty new threads advertising some hookers would me.
