This has been mentioned before, it doesn't appear to be accidental.

I don't get it all the time, but typically for 5 consecutive page loads.
That's still far too intrusive - I am unlikely to change my mind in 20 seconds.

I get the same on my iPad- it makes everything behind the panel inaccessible
Couple of ads (iphone 4 so may be a basic version of ads above): just some text but they have an underlying 'box' i have highlighted on one ad that covers all the important navigation tools; login, pms, page navigation etc. you can see the x on the right, Hit the x it doesn't go away, turns to a 'play' arrow. Im not getting any audio or vids, i suspect the phone just can't play them! Been there for a few days, not had time to post.

If anyone still sees obscured pages from bad mobile ads from this point on, please let me know.

That fixed it, the ads are back in a 'normal' ad space and not blocking anything for me. Many thanks as always!

I had to stop browsing on MacBook because it became ultra slow and then Korean voice started again. Hard to browse at work.
My cursor is frozen when I was trying to post something.
I know this is beyond FT's control but just got asked if I was looking at hentai by a passing coworker. The Ashley Madison ad is mildly NSFW.

Advertisements make browsers freeze
Hi,
I'm not sure but I think I might not be the only one with this issue...
You have some advertisements on FlyerTalk which go by video (usually on the bottom of a page), using the flash player. I have now had several occasions where these videos 'captured' my RAM and froze my browser. The remedy is to kill the flash player before it kills the browser. Flash memory usage may rapidly grow to over 3 gigabyte after opening a thread on FT.
Tried with Chrome and Firefox, tried on 2 different machines and the result is the same. Something tells me there might either be a bug or the advertising company is doing a bad job. Don't have the problem on any other website I tend to visit.
Is this a known issue? Anyone knows a remedy?

Here we have a little catch, as I had to kill flash in order to scroll the page. For what I heard, it's a Norwegian advertisement for some chewing gum (horrible stuff, now also horrible online) or some American advertisement for something that will improve my life (not sure what, I didn't catch the brand and just listened to the advertisement, as the browser window froze).
Anyway, here's the screenshot of my flash player going wild. It's from about 10 seconds after the advertisement opened. FYI: it was less than 10 MB just seconds earlier.

Addition: also just had one about many people having genetic deviants.
Experience teaches it's mostly those annoying adverts that come with a movie and a lot of noise.
