One problem with pop-up ads especially on this site, is it messes up te "last visited" marker.

I don't see anymore of the little yellow dots on the left side.

Please make the pop-up ads go away.

I've contacted our ad company about the cookie problem...

UPDATE:

They've told me the only cookie they're serving for the popunders is "a.tribalfusion.com", which shouldn't have anything to do with the FlyerTalk cookies (originating from flyertalk.com and www.flyertalk.com).

For those of you that are having the cookie problems, what browsers are you using?

Dan,

This is not right. There was an add last week, I dont know if it is still running, and it said that you were the winner today or this hour (cant remember which) and if you did not click on it you never saw that add again. The cookie from this I think was causing the problem for me.

On Monday when I get a chance I will wipe out all the cookies on my trouble shooting computer and see what cookies are being sent.

We pulled the "Winner" campaign as soon as we saw it, and told both our ad companies not to run those flashing types of ads, so you shouldn't be seeing those at all.

Yeah, check on the cookies on your machine and let me know what you find. I cleared all mine last week and ran through a few pages on FT then check my cookies, and all I got were a couple from flyertalk.com (last visited, etc) and one from tribalfusion.

I'm still getting popups from FlyerTalk. They are from the same companies as the banner ads.

Got one from match.com and another from something else (sorry, forgot what!) in the last couple days.

Are they popping above your browser and staying there, or are they ending up behind your current browser window? As for getting them, you should be, but only one per company per day (as long as you have cookies enabled).

For some reason, yet again, I am getting these pop-ups. I have been waiting to find one that I can capture the llink for which I can post it. Well, here it is!

This link was at the top of the browser. I don't mind ads and I think that this is a great way to support a website, I really don't want to see ads on Viagra for women.

As for getting the popunders, you should be; some of the campaigns being booked on FT are popunders.

I'll forward the ad complaint to our ad service, though.

They are popping up and appearing behind my browser window. It isn't that big of a deal if they are in the background (and I do have cookies enabled and I do run pop-up killer).

The big problem is every time I do get a pop-up, it resets my "last visited" pointer on FT. I don't get the cute "yellow" bullets vs. gray.

It is a minor annoyance and I know that I can overcome it, however please put in the good word with the advertiser.

I have the same problem, I think I will just visit FT a lot less. Does Randy know about these Pop-Unders?

We haven't figured out why the campaign cookies would be resetting your FT visited cookies, nor can we duplicate the error over here yet, but we'll keep checking.

I've gotten the "Weather Bug" pop-under a bunch of times tonight. No biggie, but I figured you wanted to hear when this stuff happens.
