Seems pretty normal here in SoCal on web2 and the main site.

Sounds like the menehune may be playing around with your bandwidth. :D

I'll bet that it's.

Oh for some broadband competition here.

My face is now officially red: From my isp's network status page...

"We are currently experiencing issues with Internet connectivity. Subscribers in the affected area(s) may have no connection to the Internet or latency/slow connectivity. Our engineers are working quickly to resolve this issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

This was first posted yesterday. "Quickly to resolve" must be an elastic concept....

That's Hawaiian Time, brah! :D

It's painfully slow for me in Japan.

Pages loading slow on FT

FT is awesome! I have a high speed connection and notice that the time to load pages is rather slow compared to most other sites I visit frequently. I have subscribed to many threads so I receive email which is easy enough to read but reading new threads is still a lenghty process. Is there a way to download an entire thread in a text format to read offline. Would this be any faster?

Slow search ...

Search is slow enough to be not useful right now. 2 searches on regular site failed to get results after 5 minutes plus each.

web2 returned results in about 3 minutes.

What is the phrase you were searching on?

Thanks Rut Dog, it looks like these search terms are too common within the forums and that is what is causing your problem. Glad to see that you found the thread you were looking for. Thanks,

It's been S-L-O-W off and on since Saturday. This afternoon after 3:00, it took forever for forums and threads to load. I'm on DSL.

Last couple of days have been slow for me - worse in the evenings. Is that load? Maintenance?

FlyinHawaiian Sep 20, 2006 8:21 pm

Really bad here in the West Coast for the past hour or so. Lots of 504 timeouts, pages loading slowly in general, every once in a while it's ok, but for the most part, very slow.
