Same problem here. I wasn't seeing any modem lights so I was wondering if it was just causing IE (6.0) to thrash while formatting the page.

Very Very Very slow here and I am on DSL.

Same problem experienced here in Canada.

A bit better now, though still a bit sluggish.

Yep, though it was consistently nearly unusable @ various other times (today, though also during a period of time yesterday).

Extremely slow here, too - using a cable modem which is usually very fast.

Hmmm. Last night (here in Germany, so that's around 3-6pm EST) was the first time since the new FT stated that I had problems with the speed. Seems like this depends on the time of the day.... no speed problems anymore.
