I'm assuming that's a joke.
Defining "appropriate" is easy. Enforcing it is hard. Enforcing it on a customer who has paid money for a title is even stickier.
See how this works? I know the one-liners seem amusing, but it gets a little more complex when you actually think it thru. @:-)

Or we might just drop the Evangelist title and use precious metals/gems something like this:
2,500 Posts: FlyerTalk Silver
5,000 Posts: FlyerTalk Gold
10,000 Posts: FlyerTalk Platinum
25,000 Posts: FlyerTalk Ruby
50,000 Posts: FlyerTalk Emerald

No particular reason.
The OP made a suggestion and I was just offering my two cents on the issue.
But I'm not opposed to additional levels of recognition for posting milestones. Many of us on FT are status junkies and we like our gold, silver, platinum, etc. cards and the recognition they bring us. And I'm thinking this might add an additional element of interest or fun for some folks.
But it's no big deal one way or the other.

And to continue the status levels - why not make it based on (verified) airline status levels?
As a QF Platinum / OW Emerald I'm looking about midrange. There are posters here with multiple top tier status levels...shouldn't they be the "evangelists"?

How about correlating miles and posts with a measure of altitude (m elevation of orbit)?
See who is down to earth and who is out of it.
