I voted today. But I didn't get a badge...

I would like to be enlightened about why someone would want to opt out of this. And not "just because". What rationale would cause someone to NOT want to be identified as a voter?

Your comment shows exactly why the current TalkBoard is held is such low esteem.

Wow... it's a good enough reason, but quite honestly, I was curious as well as to why it would bother you. That's in case I hadn't considered something and your reasoning could enlighten me.

Really, I am just about this much care over being identified as a voter or non-voter. Perhaps I should resign from TB since my thoughts reflect so poorly on the board.

It looks like all of this year's candidates have already voted.

The meaning of a absent badge....
To be fair, the current setup doesn't distinguish these two groups.
Not to mention the absence of this badge can also mean this: icon-disabled.

I'm not requesting anything. I'm simply making the case for why this should be an option in the face of others who seem to believe that their preference is the only valid one.
Personally, as a former TB member myself, I am in favour of anything that increases participation in the process. And contrary to what some seem to believe, you will get more participation by listening to what people might want to see, rather than forcing your views on them.
Good luck to the candidates. I voted early and often.

So just to get this straight, you would (hypothetically) advocate making it mandatory for someone who wants to vote in the TB election to display the "I Voted" badge on their profile, even if they are opposed to it to the extent that they would rather not vote than display the badge? Ergo, you believe that publicising the vote is more important than the actual vote itself?
