I've had ~300 transaction buying Superpoints on Ricardo - so far two have gone wrong. But in both cases, I have received either my money back or my points in the end.
The last case was just resolved a couple of days ago. I did get my points after paying the seller a visit at his home.
But there are other buyers that I know of who have paid and are still waiting for their points from him.
At least the guy has now been banned from Ricardo.

Escorted by a sheepdog, a baseball bat or a solicitor?

As he enrolled in ricardo just some time ago - it might be possible that he had a previous account (and a new one today). Having a bunch of good reports and than stopping to deliver items is not that atypical... Originally Posted by goliath

I had some few minor issues (e.g. once a seller sent me a necklet instead of my points, once I transferred a too low amount of Superpoints - was my fault). But everything was fixed in a reasonable time - without baseball bat ^

Goliaths don't need an escort to make an impression. Originally Posted by rorschi

I guess he was impressed (or scared?) enough by the fact that I took the effort to actually come to his home.
He wasn't even home when I showed up twice on one day, but I spoke with his neighbours and the janitor (Hauswart) that were there (not mentioning why, but that I was looking for Mr. XX). When he didn't open the door (no name on the name plate at the door bell, by the way), I left a print-out of my last e-mail with a polite, hand-written note on his door to transfer my points within 4 days or I would take legal action.
As soon as I returned home, he called me up, telling me he was told that a tall, big guy showed up at his place looking for him and asking whether that had been me? He obviously didn't expect that anybody would actually do something about it and would just let CHF 700.-- (in my case) disappear without action.
Anyways, the points were transferred while on the phone and the case would have been closed. Would, because later that day he left me three negative feedbacks on Ricardo, so I had to get in contact with them again, explaining the whole situation and the feedbacks were removed. The thing I don't get is why Ricardo wasn't doing anything about this earlier (like banning him from Ricardo), while they have known for weeks from various buyers that he wasn't delivering goods that had been paid for in advance...
