There is nothing internally that would indicate that this property is participating in Make A Green Choice, so it might be something they are offering on their own.
If the hotel is participating in MAGC and wants to benefit from the auto-option during the reservation process, they should contact their hotel support folks to arrange it.

Can you get Green Points for a 30 night stay?
I'm anticipating a 30 night stay.
Is there a night limit? Can I get points for all 30 nights? I searched the thread and didn't see an answer.

That is left up to the properties to decide. The recommendation is to not allow it for more than three consecutive nights. Other than this, you will have to ask the property what their local policy is.

Thanks for the reply.
At the property I have in mind, I've received green points for up to 5 consecutive nights (my longest stay there).

I'd suggest breaking it up a bit... 30 days on the same sheets and towels doesn't sound too comforting to me. Not to mention those little soaps and shampoos can't last THAT long! hehehe

I was wondering when someone was going to say this.
30 nights x 500 points = 15,000 points, just for declining housekeeping (double meaning). I can see maybe weekly housekeeping. Or just asking for new towels and bedsheets (making the bed myself) just to keep the points!
On prior stays I asked for multiple soaps, toilet paper and shampoo bottles-- extra water I could grab from the Club Lounge.
As others have stated, it is nice NOT to have hotel staff enter the room and rearrange things.

Whenever I get this option they always tell me that I can call anytime for any item to be brought to me.
I have used this option twice and will continue to use it as long as they give me something of value.

This is just speculation, but what if declining housekeepIng for points becomes so popular that hotels start charging extra for housekeeping on short stays and stop giving points?

Sheraton Puerto Rico- Convention Center participates..though like many other participants in my experience: the points to decline housekeeping often do not get posted and one must call SPG to have them reconciled, etc.

CanuckFlyHigh makes a very good point about long-term maintenance of rooms, but that issue aside, I am glad to see this.
This is mostly because it finally makes the hotels put their money where their mouth is, so to speak, about the supposed environmental benefits that they claim to value. For years they have had those cards whereby one could opt-out of getting fresh towels or sheets (at some hotels, one now even has to opt-in).
The hotels have always said that this was for environmental reasons, but, since they were obtaining benefits but not having to pay anything for them, I found it easy to cynically assume that hotels were simply trying to save money. Now they are making some type of investment in the supposedly environmentally-friendly practices, which is appropriate if they are serious.

I am ok to not get the bed sheet change for 2-3 nights
