D Cube is actually #1 on TripAdvisor. Wow.

I recently stayed at the Westin Chosun. Nice enough hotel with a good location. The rooms could use an update. Good lounge. I'm sure the Sheraton D-Cube is better, but I'm not sure about the location.

The JW Marriott is located near the Express Bus Terminal (forgot the exact name), and is also connected to a large commercial shopping center. There should still be a large underground shopping complex there as well. The area near the JW is highly commercial, but I would not consider it particularly touristy. And the traffic can be a nightmare just to get into the hotel. The D-Cube is located in an area of Seoul which is also not touristy. But it is also connected to a large shopping center. It will take about 40 minutes on the subway to get to the COEX area. Slightly less time to downtown via subway. If traffic is light, it will take about 20-25 minutes to take a cab to the respective areas - and should cost under $15 (regular taxi). Also, some cab drivers are still not that knowledgeable about the D Cube. All drivers know the marriott.

Thanks everyone for the responses, we ended up booking Sheraton D Cube! Just noticed on Tripadvisor that the D Cube is the #1 rated hotel in Seoul. At 10,000 points a night, seems like a great option.

I can't compare the hotel to any other property in Seoul, just to other properties around the world and it is one of the best.
I stayed in Sheraton D-cube before. Great hotel. There is shopping center just below the hotel also metro line. Of course it will take almost to Myongdong area.

If to be in city center is important, then Westin Chosun will be much better. But I think Westin is more expensive compare to D-Cube

I just completed a two night stay at the Westin Chosun this week. It is an outstanding property with check-in available at ICN Airport.
