This was exactly my experience. The link worked for me a couple days ago, so if at first you don't succeed, try try again! I requalified several months ago.

No photobook, no luggage tags (( I so miss the photobook, it was an awesome idea. At least some startpoints for Christmas would have been nice. I think Starwood wasn't in Christmas mood this year

Or is the personalized ambassador card the replacement for PLT100 members?

They ought to state exactly what the inclusion criteria are - I'm guessing it's limited to the USA or somesuch.

Lurkers, any chance you could clarify?

Other than to say that the $25 gift certificate/Hulu subscription/whatever is not a year-end gift. It is one given when one renews their elite membership.

My apologies, but if the link works for you, then you qualify. If it doesn't, you don't.

The $25 gift worked for me. It also stated that it will arrive in ~6 weeks. I hope that's not always 6 weeks from mañana.

Now as somebody who has requalified and the link doesn't work, is it because:

a) I didn't really requalify as a Platinum despite what the site told me
b) Being in the UK means the gift of year round drizzle is reward enough
c) Santa did the list for Starwood and put me on the naughty list
d) No idea, but stop asking questions dammit!

Don't mind not being eligible, just curious

I like d), but that probably won't fly here.

It could be for a number of reasons. Timing, for instance. Also, which url are you trying? The one for international members or the one for US residents? Maybe you've already picked up the gift? Don't laugh...fully 60% of the ones I looked into last year already had and simply forgot.

Unfortunately, we no longer have the ability to sort these out. Members are automatically added to the qualification table about 4 - 6 weeks after they renew their elite status and an email is sent to those who have opted in to receiving emails from SPG.

I like d) as well, so have no problem with that answer to my question at least

I've tried both the US and International one. I only requalified in December, so that is almost certainly the reason. If it comes through in a few weeks, I'll say thanks and if not, I'll have 1,000 points less than I might have done. At least I wasn't on Santa's naughty list.

well it worked for me - I missed Platinum by 2 stays and thus am Gold again - and the linked worked for me.

So as Mr Sanders said, it is for Elite Renewal and not just for Platinum.

I didn't get the email because my corporate email servers filters these things out.
