Please explain what part is unclear to you (I assume that's what Huuuh! means). And you definition of "promo" that this doesn't meet.
I will say that dropping the double points for a single night puts a crimp in my normal 25 stays/25 nights as early as possible strategy. I may have to work on my 65 nights to MR lifetime PLT and see what SPG comes up with next quarter(s).

My "huuuh" reflects my frustration about SPG. Again no promotion for me. And it is just ridiculous that again all German hotels are excluded

If Asia is excluded completely, why do they list

Last time I checked, *wood has always included PAK in it's Middle East region hotel directory. Like many global companies - such as those who have an 'EMEA' region (Europe, ME, Africa), the distinction is more divided along the lines of corporate regions, rather than geographic.
Same reason, I suppose, Aruba is in 'North America'.

I guess this was not meant to be a promotion because as everyone felt, it is not one.
So let's think of a reasonable motive for Starwood to come up with this offer (aka joke)??!! hummmm I can only think of it as a deterrent to mattress run!! and even for this, it's a lousy offering as I would rather accumulate stay credit rather than a few extra points!

So not every promo will appeal to every person. Although I wont be registering for this promo, I think its nice that SPG is thinking and benefiting those who have multiple nights per stay

This promo doesn't really work for me, but that's life. I usually find that between HHonors and SPG I have a couple of decent promo periods across both and then a couple of quieter periods when neither program has anything that excites me.
It doesn't look like HHonors has anything to write home about in Q1 either, so I'll just stick to the properties that work the best for me, or I'll be redeeming more on leisure stays during this time.
If this period doesn't suit you, there's a good chance the next one might be more to your liking and vice versa. No need to throw a public tantrum or make threats of moving your business from this day forward. Just take a pragmatic view and do what suits you during the coming months. It isn't personal, just business.
It doesn't look like HHonors has anything to write home about in Q1 either, so I'll just stick to the properties that work the best for me, or I'll be redeeming more on leisure stays during this time.
