Yes, as long as one night of the stay is within the promotion period, double or triple bonus Starpoints will be earned on every night during the entire stay (even if part of the stay falls outside the promo window).

- All German hotels excluded - AGAIN! - Huuuh!
That's not a promo for me but a reason to avoind SPG in Q1. Let's hope that other chains run some real and true promotion!

Yes, Germany chose not to participate.
Please explain what part is unclear to you (I assume that's what Huuuh! means). And you definition of "promo" that this doesn't meet.
I will say that dropping the double points for a single night puts a crimp in my normal 25 stays/25 nights as early as possible strategy. I may have to work on my 65 nights to MR lifetime PLT and see what SPG comes up with next quarter(s).

Why do we think this is THE quarterly promo as opposed to a regional one?

well if this is in fact the Q promo, it will end up saving me alot of time when having to book Hotels, as no reason whatsoever to check out *W, as I dont usually do more then 1 nighters. Looks like Marriott will be getting my $$

It's not a nice start for us SPG follower. It's again almost the same like the last promo. Too much non participatng hotels. I will even not sign in and booked
