Paris

I just booked two nights using FWN's in Paris at the Prince de Galles (LC) next month, on a weekend when a King Superior room is showing an advance purchase rate of €418.50! I'm certainly happy they had award availability.

With three already booked at the St. Regis in Washington, D.C. this weekend (to see Jon Stewart ), that leaves me with two remaining unused.

Probably NYC for a weekend trip next month.

^

Have fun!
I want to hibernate. I'm not driving around to go wine tasting, especially since I will be my own DD. I hope it pours and thunders -- open the windows, hear the storm, read, drink, and nap.

Besides, I have some good bottles at home I've been wanting to try!

Forgive me if this is a FAQ...I tired searching the thread and did not find the answer.

Are FWN tranbsferrable, or can they be used on someone else's behalf? I forgot to register and don't have any FWN, but would love to use it for a stay in early Dec. Before I ask around, I wanted to understand the T&C better and what I can do.

Thanks, Dave

Sorry, it's not what you want to hear - but very smart of you to find out before you tracked down someone with an unused night.

Can a member gift his or her Free Weekend Night Award?

Awards are not transferable and may not be given as a gift.

were you guys allowed to extend the validity of the vouchers?

i still have four of them but don't know when and where to use them?

would be easy for me to use during the week but on weekends is more difficult

good idea but wrong program.

Hyatt used to do it for their Diamonds but AFAIK SPG never gave anyone anything beyond the stated deadline, good luck and let us know

It turned out that it's been a bit harder than I thought to use these FWNs - too much travel this year

Just like you I have 4 FWN remaining and have no plans to stay anywhere before Jan 2011. However in Jan 2011 I have vacation coming up in Orlando Florida for about 10 days. It would be great for me if they extend it for a month but I know it does not work that way...

Looks as if availability of rooms for these is getting scarce. Was hoping to use my one remaining night in NYC in a few weeks, but no luck whatsoever finding space at any properties I'd actually want to stay in, for the weekend I can actually travel. I guess it'll go to waste.

Do FWN stays count toward Plat status?

Hi All,

When using a FWN under this program, does the stay count towards Gold or Plat status?

All apologies if this has already been asked and answered (a quick search for "status" in the thread yielded no answers).

Thanks!
