I have just had a quote back on my ex-IST RTW, 29,000 miles business. This is from the AC Super Elite desk, who of course can issue an ex-IST ticket at the IST fare..
Base was quoted at $4874 USD or $5949 CAD. Total in CAD is $6352.55

The base seems higher than previously reported though still a lot less than from Canada.

Can anyone confirm this is the correct base fare?

In the latest (22 March) update of WBT's handy-dandy spreadsheet, CRWSTAR1 ex-Turkey is quoted as $4550 USD or $5495 CAD.

This was my starting point, so I am wondering whether there has been an increase that has not been picked up, or if there is some other reason for why my quote was a bit higher. It is clearly not the ex-Canada fare and still a good deal.

I was also told that it was 7 day in advance ticketing, can anyone confirm this to be correct?

I haven't heard of any fare increases ex-IST since I last updated the spreadsheet. Then again, I only collate the data, and have no direct access to the fares myself, so it's possible that they have gone up.

Thanks, It is one of those situations where it is so easy for me to get the ticket issued by AC, so I am trying to decide whether it is worth trying to get another quote either in Canada or in Turkey. I talked to flightcentre.ca who wanted a $200 deposit to even quote! This was despite me telling them that I had already picked my flights, checked availibility and all they had to do was enter the info....

I'm new here, but a long time traveller (over 120 flight sectors and counting!).

I am trying to buy my girlfriend a Starlite 26000 mile ticket origin Netherlands, and we are having trouble finding a price - can anyone here help?

The itinerary would be:
AMS-LHR (Transit)
LHR-JFK (Stopover)
JFK-YVR (Stopover)
YVR-LAX (Stopover)
LAX-PPT (Stopover)
PPT-AKL (Transit)
AKL-MEL (Stopover)
MEL-SIN (Transit)
SIN-AMS (Final)

Departure date is 31st May 2005, as I believe there may be a high season rate starting on June 1st.

It meets all the rules (5 stops max, under 26000mile), but we seem to be getting a wide variety of prices (a variance of EU600 from lowest price to highest price!). Can anyone shed "lite" on the RRP price for the ticket (ex. tax)

The latest price I have seen is EUR 1 999. This price is also indicated on the Dutch version of the Lufthansa site.

Thanks, Al B. Looks like the big increase is for the F fares, especially 1 and 2 at 11% and 8%. C fares are up by 7%, Y by 3%. Let's hope this is not replicated worldwide.

New *published* fare levels eff 15 April for the following countries -
UK, USA, Canada, Thailand, Egypt, Fiji & Australia.
Obviously there are going to be agents that will prorate and get better deals, but these published levels compared against current published levels should give a better idea of how much the fare rise is and if there is a uniform worldwide swing or not.

Thanks again for the new data. It's pretty bad news all around. F is up 10% in the Uk, US, Canada and Thailand, up just 5% in Fiji and up an exorbitant 30% in Egypt.

For C, it's 5% in UK and Fiji, 7% in US, Canada and Thailand, and 32% in Egypt.

For Y, it's 3% everywhere except Fiji (0%) and a mind-boggling 60% in Egypt.

It's safe to say that CAI is no longer attractive for *A RTWs. I just hope this does not presage an analogous increase in the oneworld ex-CAI fares.

Anyway, I'll really get around to updating the spreadsheet soon.
