...another *A codeshare question....
Hi Everyone,
I'm a little puzzled with this and I wonder if you could help me (again). Next month I am flying from Australia to Brazil mainly using UA.
UA4950 22/02 ADL/SYD 0750-1010
UA 816 22/02 SYD/LAX 1450-0915
UA 733 22/02 LAX/GRU 1435-0950
UA4188 23/02 GRU/POA 1204-1334
UA4189 05/03 POA/GRU 2000-2129
UA 732 05/03 GRU/LAX 2230-0926
UA 815 06/03 LAX/SYD 2215-0740
UA 4935 08/03 SYD/ADL 0955-1125
Now ,.. I plan to put everything in my VARIG smiles account. The sector from ADL/SYD and back are flown with AN which only gives 70% of the actual nummber of miles flown, so, in this case it would be better for me to fly with the UA codeshare number in the boarding pass so as to get 100% miles in my RG account. Can I do that ?
The sector GRU/POA and back (in Brazil) are flown with VARIG and as I am already intermediate tier with them I would get +25% of the miles flown as long as I fly with a RG number. Can I do that on the spot over there ?!

the flights you aske about are already booked as UA code-shares.
But UA code-shares (flying AN metal) still only pays 70% (if the fare is discounted eco, if the fare is full eco 100%), and no minimum miles, and no status bonus, into your UA Mileage Plus account.
I have no experience of my own about the VARIG part.
