I'm a little puzzled with this and I wonder if you could help me (again). Next month I am flying from Australia to Brazil mainly using UA.

Now ,.. I plan to put everything in my VARIG smiles account. The sector from ADL/SYD and back are flown with AN which only gives 70% of the actual nummber of miles flown, so, in this case it would be better for me to fly with the UA codeshare number in the boarding pass so as to get 100% miles in my RG account. Can I do that ?

The sector GRU/POA and back (in Brazil) are flown with VARIG and as I am already intermediate tier with them I would get +25% of the miles flown as long as I fly with a RG number. Can I do that on the spot over there ?!
