I would be more than happy to trade them for my Independence Air miles

There was just a posting on Facebook that Spanair Star Silver and Gold members would be offered a status match at another *A airline. All of the members should be receiving email in the next few days.

I received the email today. you can choose which of 8 star alliance companies you want to transfer your status to: Aegean, united, US Airways, Air Canada, Thai, air china, air nz, SAS, TAP.

no mention of any conditions like wha do you have to do to maintain status going forward, etc.

getting ready to fill out for Aegean

I guess that after 1 or 2 years of grace you will have to fulfill their criteria to maintain the status.

Well, at A3, the criteria is that you have to keep the account active (1 flight a year)! So that shouldn't be too hard

Is that for real? That practically makes it lifetime status. I mean how easy is it to credit just one flight each year!

Erm, well nobody has actually figured a way to lose the status other than getting your account shut down for inactivity, so yes, 1 flight a year it is...

As some may have noticed, JK released a online refund form here:

http://www.spanair.com/ComunicacionC...px?language=en

which needs to be filled until April 15th.

I booked our JK flights on opodo.de; paid with MC; charged directly by opodo, so I had no chance to get my money back via MC.
There are/were two tickets under one confirmation number.

Even though the form is horribly programmed I managed to send it and got also a confirmation mail from Spanair. But when I try to edit it again it won't accept my ticket number ("EN]Nmero de billete incorrecto. Debe ser un campo numrico."); seems like another error.
I'm also wondering if I should have applied for EACH ticket or for both together.

Has anyone else tried to fill it out yet?
